Dr. Jekyll is a bearded, middle-aged man with a dull life-style, who devotes all his time on his experiments. His wife Kitty is having an affair with an avid gambler, Paul Allen, who is also handsome and leads a far more interesting character.
After drinking a mixture of his latest formula, Jekyll transforms into a youthful, beardless and energetic Hyde. Hyde has a brief affair with an alluring snake dancer, then begins to seduce Jekyll’s own wife, who is unaware that Hyde is in fact her own husband.
Jekyll discovers that his wife has been seeing Paul Allen, and as Hyde plots to have the gambler killed. Kitty soon discovers that Paul has been crushed to death by a python and leaps off a balcony to her death. Another woman faces Hyde’s rage and is found murdered by the police, who have been investigating the case. Finally, Hyde returns to the laboratory where he turns back to Dr. Jekyll again. In the final scene, Jekyll is in a courtroom revealing that he has conquered Hyde and his evil ways. But has he really?
